There are new additions to Downtown Dubai’s culinary scene this month and the good news is that we’re sharing them right in time for the weekend.
Hakoora
This new spot located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard not only offers views of Burj Khalifa but also a menu featuring international fusion cuisine, so you’ll have plenty of choices. The selection includes Middle Eastern favourites such as Hummus, Falafel, Fatoush and Kebabs alongside dishes such as Seafood Linguine, Pan Seared Salmon and Miso Glazed Confit Duck Leg. No meal is complete without something sweet so you can order the Signature Cheesecake or try the Cherry and Apple Pie.
Looking to puff the night away on a shisha, Hakoora does everything from a classic grape mint to a cinnamon mint and even gum shisha.
Located in Yansoon 9, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. Open from 11am to 1am (Sunday to Wednesday) and 11am to 2am (Thursday to Saturday). For more information, call 050 393 4301.
Oche Fountain Views
Want a venue where you can play, eat and drink? Make your way to Oche, a space which houses 13 game booths, a restaurant, bar and VIP areas. The main attraction here is the classic pub game darts. The menu offers ‘crossover tapas’ with interesting eats such as Spicy Tuna Cone, Mushroom Arancini, as well as sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri. Teetotallers can choose from a list of mocktails while the rest can enjoy cocktails, hops and other hard beverages.
Located in Dubai Mall Fountain Views. Open from 4pm to 2am (Thursdays and Fridays), 12pm to 2am (Saturdays), 12pm to 1am (Sundays), 4pm to 1am (Monday to Wednesday). For more information, call 050 199 4790 or visit their website.
