There are so many new restaurants opening (or have opened) in Downtown Dubai this month, but we’re not complaining. While our job is to share as much as we know about these new places, your job is to go there and enjoy a beautiful meal *wink*.

Alba is the newest spot on the block

Describing itself as a Pan-Asian restaurant with a European touch, Alba is a project by MetaFoodies, the team behind the newly opened fine dining restaurant Bisou.

At Alba, think traditional flavours of Korea, Japan and China prepared using modern European techniques. Led by chefs Vladimir Chistyakov and Minho Ted Shin, the menu will have specials such as caviar and uni, and indulgent dishes such as the beef yuk-hwe, which is a combination of uni, truffle, caviar and wagyu maki served with foie gras, and lobster noodles, which is also their signature dish.

The highlight here will be the bar menu, which features cocktails made with Asian ingredients and traditional brewing techniques. At Alba’s secret bar guests can not only enjoy unique cocktails but also a selection of Japanese beverages including whiskey, sake and teas – did we mention they will also have tea ceremonies?
