Popular Downtown Dubai restaurant Frnds is hosting a Maslenitsa Dinner on Saturday, 16th March.
Did you know that Maslenitsa is a religious holiday that is celebrated right before Lent? Because it is the last week when eggs, milk, cheese and other dairy products are permitted before the fasting season begins, it is also known as Crepe or Pancake Week.
At Frnds’ Maslenitsa Dinner, the star of the show will be blinis or Russian pancakes.
The menu for the night will include options such as blinis with porcini mushrooms and truffle or salmon roe and sour cream, and even minced meat.
The blini feast doesn’t end there. Save some space for dessert because you can have blini with caramelised apple and cream cheese or opt for the black forest cake vibe with the chocolate crepes cake that has sour cherry and Chantilly cream.
