If you’re looking for both Cantonese and Japanese food in Downtown Dubai, you’ll be happy to know that you don’t need to visit two different restaurants. Dubai Mall’s newest restaurant, Yun Xi Lou offers Cantonese cuisine as well as Japanese dishes.
The kitchen is helmed by chefs from Michelin starred restaurants in China, so you can expect authentic Chinese flavours. While their Peking Duck is extremely popular, seafood is their speciality, so be sure to sample everything from crab to lobster. The Japanese kitchen is headed by chef Uno, who is well-known amongst diners from his days at Tomo, Raffles Dubai. Ingredients are flown in from Japan daily, ensuring some of the freshest sushi and sashimi available.
When you dine at the restaurant this summer, you can enjoy a unique experience – you can make your own Chinese fan. After the meal, each table will receive materials to craft one traditional fan, which can be customised to your liking. This activity is complimentary.
