Residents and tourists enjoyed the Dubai Fountain’s final show on 19th April. The world’s tallest dancing fountain will not be operational for the next five months as it undergoes a major renovation project.

This will have a considerable impact on restaurants and cafes with terrace spaces, as their USP was the views of the Dubai Fountain and Lake. However, property developer Emaar has announced an initiative to support restaurants affected by the closure of this key Downtown attraction.

As part of the intiative, Emaar will waive the rent for outlets with impacted terrace spaces for a duration of four months, from June to September 2025. This move underscores its commitment to supporting tenants through changing market conditions.

Emaar also plans to introduce digital screens along the promenade near the fountain, displaying engaging content to assist retailers during this period.
