The Hindu festival of Navratri, dedicated to the worship of feminine energy, is being observed until 2nd October. During this time, worshippers usually fast and eat certain foods. Indian restaurant Jamavar is catering to these dietary restrictions with its vegetarian Navratna thali.

The meal is a Sattvik dining experience. In other words, it is free from meat, fish, eggs, onion, garlic, and is well-balanced. It includes a sweet potato and mango chaat, Malai Kofta (cottage cheese dumplings), Makai Palak (spianch with corn), alongside staples such as Sabudana Khichdi and Vada – all served on a single platter. The traditional Indian rice pudding is replaced with a version made with foxnuts and dressed with gold leaf. View the menu here.
