UAE celebrates its 54th National Day, now known as Eid Al Etihad, on 2nd December. With official National Day holidays announced for 1st and 2nd December, residents will enjoy a long weekend – from 29th November to 2nd December. Fine chocolate makers Ganache have introduced chocolates in the colours of the UAE flag. The flavours are pecan praline (red), pistachio crunch (green), hazelnut praline (white) and almond praline (black). At Downtown Dubai’s omakase restaurant, diners can enjoy a special National Day menu from 28th November to 3rd December. Priced at AED 1,350, the meal begins with a “Flag Bowl” – starters inspired by, and arranged in, the colours of the UAE flag. The main affair is their signature Wagyu burger: a tender, flavourful patty tucked into butter-toasted brioche buns and finished with a sunny side egg and caramelised onions.
