Chinese New Year falls on 17th February this year, and it is celebrated with enthusiasm not only across China but also by millions globally. If you’re looking to share a meal with family or friends to mark the occasion with fun activities, here’s what’s happening in Downtown Dubai for CNY.
MiMi Mei Fair, the popular Chinese restaurant from London, is welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse with a sharing-style menu that includes starters such as rock oysters, steamed XO okra, and the Basket of Wealth – a selection of delicious dim sums.
For the mains, there are plenty of options including the classic sweet and sour chicken and three types of braised truffled mushrooms, as well as their signature wok-baked lobster.
The feast ends with a Baijiu (a Chinese liquor) cake. View the menu here.

This wok-ing good meal costs AED 478 per person (minimum two guests). For an additional AED 248, they will include a wine pairing as well. Available until 4th March.
